Yerevan, 13 February: "The Armenian side assesses the latest stage of the talks on the Karabakh conflict settlement as constructive and promising, and the [OSCE Minsk Group] mediators share this opinion," Vladimir Karapetyan, a Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman, said today. He was commenting on Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov's statement that if the negotiations do not continue on the basis of previous agreements, doubts may arise about the expediency of the talks.
"Probably, ahead of the forthcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries, the Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister is preparing grounds for Azerbaijan's non-constructive position, just like this repeatedly happened in the past", Karapetyan noted.
