AZERI JOURNALIST DISMISSED FOR VISITING KARABAKH

February 14 the editorial board of Observer Baku-based weekly gathered to discuss the conduct of head of the political department Roman Temnikov, who paid an authorized visit to Nagorno Karabakh.

Editor-in-Chief Gyulnara Mamedzade and her two assistants "unanimously censured Temnikov's deed conflicting with the ethics of an Azeri journalist, which prohibits any contacts with representatives of Karabakh.

The editorial board decided to dismiss Roman Temnikov. To remind, representative of "Peace, Democracy, Culture" organization, head of the political department of Observer Baku-based weekly Roman Temnikov visited Stepanakert by invitation of "Hayk's Generation" organization within the framework of "Our Home Caucasus" project. As reported by Karabakh Online, Temnikov said he has visited the republic for the first time and the impressions are good. "You have managed to reconstruct the city after the war. I expected a different welcome but as you see I am sage and sound," he said. Temnikov is going to meet with the NKR Minister of Education, Culture and Sport. Meetings with the Speaker of Karabakh parliament and representatives of youth organizations are as well expected.
