"I rate Robert Kocharian's move as discrediting the whole Azeri nation. Having broken off the bilateral negotiations the Armenian President showed his attitude to the aspiration to establish peace in the region," National Democratic Party of Azerbaijan Iskender Gamidov said. "I suppose after it Azerbaijan should find the strength to refuse from the OSCE Minsk Group mediation, since the accompaniment of the Armenian leader by Yuri Merzlyakov proved once again how far the mediators are from the principles of fair settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," he said. In Gamidov's opinion the problem "should be settled by force only."

To remind, Azeris said the Armenian party abandoned the negotiations before their completion. When commenting on the statements Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian called them absurd. "The Armenian President was in Rambouillet two days long and he returned to Yerevan on term", the RA FM stated.
